Plasma Cutters

Plasma Cutters

Plasma cutter for processing metal plates cutting, cutting and in CNC table.

With plasma cutting, an arc of light is used between the material to be cut and the cutting electrode itself.

As electricity is used, this method is well suited for conductive metals such as aluminium, copper and steel.

Where a fiber laser won't be able to get through, the plasma cutter gets the job done.

This method even makes it possible to stack several sheets of metal on top of each other to cut out more parts at once.

There are some similarities between plasma cutting and gas cutting in that you use a jet of air or gas

to cut into the material where it has been heated.

In order to succeed with this type of cut, one must of course reach very high temperatures of around 30,000 degrees Celsius.

The cutting electrode will not cut through the material, but as it melts down, molten metal can be blown away from the cut surface

in an efficient way so that you get the cut you are looking for.
